VUmbrella provides VMware training to the US Army 25th Signal Battalion in Afghanistan & Kuwait

Beginning in August of 2011, VUmbrella began providing VMware training for the US Army's 25th Signal Battalion in South-West Asia. We have been working closely with the units supporting the virtualization efforts in Afghanistan and Kuwait, and to-date have trained over 130 soldiers and civillian contractors in Kandahar, Afghanistan, with another anticipated 72 students in Kuwait City and 48 students in Afghanistan later this year.

We're grateful for the opportunity we've had to meet and work with these brave young men and women. They work in very adverse conditions in a hostile environment, and while we can't directly make their world a safer place, we aim to provide them as much assistance/guidance as we can in their daily technical duties. Here are some photos that we've collected while teaching and working in Afghanistan.
